Bacon Wrapped Smokies

This Northwoods favorite is time-consuming but the ingredients are simple and well worth cooking. The brown sugar and bacon grease combine beautifully and give it such a great taste.

  • 1 lb Trig’s Smokehouse sliced bacon, cut into thirds
  • 1 package Trig’s Smokehouse Brat Bites
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, or to taste



Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Refrigerate 2/3 of bacon until needed. It is easier to wrap the Brat Bites with cold bacon. Wrap each Brat Bite with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on a large baking sheet. Sprinkle brown sugar generously over all.

Bake for 40 minutes in preheated oven, until sugar is bubbly. To serve, place the Brat Bites in a slow cooker and keep on the low setting.
